1. "Adwa" Celebration

The Ethio-Canadian Forum for Peace and Democracy hosts a symposium to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the victory of the battle of Adwa. Speakers will address the significance of the Victory of the Battle of Adwa to the peoples of Ethiopia and all black peoples in their struggle for freedom and dignity.

2. SANKOFA

This is a good opportunity to see "Sankofa", the highly acclaimed film drama by Haile Gerima of Howard University.
